At Somater, the safety of our employees in our plants is not just a priority – it is a daily commitment.

On the occasion of “Safety Day”, we reaffirm a strong belief: every accident is preventable.

In recent years, we have strengthened our actions through:

• targeted investments to improve equipment safety
• continuous training of our teams
• regular safety flash communications to reinforce best practices across our 8 safety pillars
• deployment of demanding safety standards across all our sites

But safety is not only about processes or equipment—it relies above all on the commitment of each and every one of us, every day.

Let’s continue to move forward together to ensure an ever safer working environment!

The Somater Savigny teams recently had the pleasure of welcoming Servier teams to our facility.

This visit provided a concrete opportunity to showcase our industrial capabilities and latest advancements: new injection molding machines, end-of-line cooling systems, as well as an automated line integrating laser decoration and filling. These are all strong illustrations of the continuous and operational improvement dynamic we have recently implemented.

These direct exchanges were highly appreciated by our employees, proud to highlight their expertise and bring this partnership to life on the ground.

A big thank you to the Servier teams for their trust.

We are proud to be building a sustainable collaboration together, focused on performance and continuous improvement.

Somater has reached a new strategic milestone with the integration of injection technology at our ANL Packaging Poland industrial site.

A project carried out in close collaboration with our partner L’Oréal, once again demonstrating the strength of our relationship: trust, co-development and industrial excellence.

We were delighted to welcome the L’Oréal leadership team to our Polish site – an opportunity to showcase and bring this innovative and challenging project to life.

A key step forward to meet our customers’ needs and support future innovations, as close as possible to the markets.

The visit to the ANL Packaging site in Belgium by elected officials from the city of Wellen highlights the structuring role of mid-sized companies in regional development.

We would like to thank the Mayor, Els Robeyns, and her team for the quality of the discussions, which underline the importance of constructive dialogue between local authorities and industry in addressing challenges related to competitiveness, sustainability, and innovation.

In a context of increasing international competition and recurring crises, continuous dialogue with public authorities—at local, national, and European levels—represents a key lever for sustainable industrial development, benefiting all our stakeholders.

The transition to more sustainable packaging is now at the heart of environmental and regulatory challenges.

At Somater, we are convinced that the plastic packaging industry must evolve to meet these sustainability challenges. This involves adapting to new regulatory requirements and adopting eco-design principles: incorporating recycled materials, reducing the weight of our packaging, and ensuring the recyclability of the final product.

This commitment is reflected in our operations. In 2025, 30% of the plastic resins processed by Somater come from recycled materials. Our goal is clear and shared with our partners: to design the packaging of tomorrow: circular, sustainable and fully recyclable.

On International Women’s Rights Day, Somater is honoring the women who contribute every day to moving our company forward.

Our industry is evolving and is now enriched by female talent at all levels of the organization: production, quality, technical and support services, management functions, and more.

This day is an opportunity to recognize these career paths, promote diversity, and remind everyone that gender diversity is a real driver of performance, creativity, and progress for our industry.

In close collaboration with the L’Oréal teams, Somater recently deployed Injection technology at our ANL Poland production site.

It is a real pleasure to welcome them to see the live results of our joint project!

Beyond industrial performance, this is above all a confirmation of the strength of our partnership: co-development, high quality standards, close integration with our customers, and a shared long-term vision.

We are proud to move forward together, driven by a sustainable and long-term collaborative approach.

In 2025, the male/female equality indices in the workplace were as follows:

  • Somater scored 94/100
  • Plastuni Normandie scored 84/100

We are committed to actively pursuing our policy in favor of professional equality, which is a key component of our HR policy and our sustainable performance:

  • Reduction of pay gaps through detailed annual analysis of gaps, systematic verification of increases, promotions to neutralize unjustified gaps, and communication during CSE (Social and Economic Committee) meetings.
  • Enabling women to access the highest salaries by identifying and supporting female talent, providing greater access to management roles, and promoting upward internal mobility for existing female employees.

Somater is launching a new range of laminated tubes containing 25% and 30% PCR recycled material at PLASTUNI-LISSES.
This achievement is part of a strong eco-design approach:

  • Maintaining barrier and industrial performance,
  • Integration of PCR recycled material,
  • Low-carbon packaging solution,
  • Product recyclability.

A turnkey solution to support our customers in regulatory compliance and meeting their CSR commitments.

We had the honor of welcoming at our Marolles site the Sub-Prefect of Sarthe, the Mayor of Marolles-lès-Saint-Calais, the President of the Community of Communes of the Braye and Anille Valleys, and the Economic Development Officer.

This visit provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue between Somater, government representatives, and elected officials. We were able to share our realities on the ground:

  • The level of regulatory requirements we meet,
  • The key role of public policy in giving mid-sized companies the means to achieve their ambitions,
  • Our teams’ commitment to competitiveness, performance, and responsibility.

Our discussions were particularly fruitful on economic and regional issues: taxation, competitiveness, employment, CSR, and local development.

At Somater, we are convinced that our performance goes hand in hand with strong regional roots. So, thank you to the government representatives and elected officials for the quality of our discussions and the ideas put forward for the development of the borough.
